Two gorgeous new cards ....

New cards that I received ....

The first - from Freckles
Dark blue cardstock with another layer on tap.
The boat image is stamped with black ink and then vellum on top to create a shadow effect. I know there is a name for this .... :P I love it, Freckles! Thanks so much!

The second - from Heather
Green scrapbook paper with layers of beige and tan ripped in layer. The image of the ocean seems to be on the paper itself with a bird motif of stamps. The 'hello' stamp is also a nice touch. Absolutely gorgeous, Heather. Thank you, too!

Whew!

What a week this has been ... had a friend here from Japan so I really have not been home at all. My blog is neglected; that's for sure!

Had a whole group of friends over yesterday for a stamping marathon .... made a bunch of Thai green curry, jasmine scented rice, hot and sour soup and a crunchy salad to keep our energy up ... we stamped and chatted all afternoon.

Gotta clean up all the stamping scraps and ribbons I experimented with ... isn't that always the fun part?!
